Sometimes I just bore myself.
I mean, face it–sitting in front of the computer every single day, interviewing others about their awesome lives and writing about it is pretty cool.
Well, most of the time anyway. Admittedly, there are days when I have to cover a Town or Village Board meeting–read bored meeting that is so grating on my nerves, that it threatens to chop me off at the knees, but most of the time, the job is great.
However, the danger in writing about everyone else’s lives is that I don’t seem to have one of my own.
So, I have decided to get back into my love of sewing–I’ve done it for a while, giving a few friends, relatives, grandkids, nieces and nephews things that I have made, but after a little thinking about it last month, decided to try my hand at Etsy.
So here goes–and to be honest, I am a little afraid that I won’t be able to sell anything, but like my daughter and my sweet husband tells me, I will never know unless I try.
So, if you are so inclined, check out my little shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/PumpkinseedBoutique?ref=si_shop
I named it Pumpkinseed Boutique after a nickname my late father gave me as a kid. He called me pumpkinseed when I was still in diapers and continued until the day before he died.
I used to object–strongly to the name, especially as I grew older, but now–I’d give anything if I could hear him say it just one more time.
So, Dad–this shop is for you! I love you!
Here is one of my latest projects–kind of a fun line in my collection, called Bedrock. Yabbadabbadoo
